"" Friends of the Irving Public Library:
A nonprofit dedicated to supporting and enhancing the Irving Public Library. Friends of the Irving Public Library sells books, music, movies and magazines to the public throughout the year. We have thousands of gently used books and seldom-used items from the library's collection and from book donations. Money from sales goes to support library programs, including Summer Reading Challenge and Irving's Big Read, as well as new books and subscriptions to be placed in the library.

Early admission to the June Annual Warehouse Sale. Tax-deductible contributions. Access to First Wednesday Book Sale (every month except Jan, Jun, Jul). Invitations to special events (e.g., author programs, readings). Receive the LibraryLine Quarterly eNewsletter.
As a friend, you will have admittance to Members Only Preview Night at the Annual Book Sale and receive invitations to special events such as author programs and readings.

Fund guest speakers and event amenities. Support staff training and conference attendance. Provide staff recognition awards. Make special purchases to enhance services. Supplement the Library's annual materials budget. Fund thousands of additional books and AV materials each year.

Book Sale:
The Friends sell books, music, movies and magazines to the public throughout the year. Our warehouse is filled with thousands of gently used donations and seldom used items from the library's collection. Money from sales go back to supporting the library's programs, including Summer Reading Challenge and Irving's Big Read, as well as new library books and subscriptions. Upcoming book sales appear on our Adult Programs calendar of events.
Monthly Member's Only Sales:
The Friends Members-Only book sales are held from 1 to 3 p.m. the first Wednesday of the following months: February, March, April, May, August, September, October, November and December. Membership to the Friends can be purchased at the warehouse during these sales.
Regular Open Sales:
The Friends Open to the Public book sales held throughout the year at the friends warehouse at 3000 Rock Island Road, Irving Texas.

Author Appearance Book Sales:
The Friends Author Appearance book sales, obtained through local retailers, at author visits to the library. A portion of money from books sold goes back to the organization.
